"Day of the Dead" Inspired Necklaces

I have always loved Day of the Dead themed items.  I love to look at them and their vibrant colors and see what the artist has done with the piece.  These 2 necklaces are my inspired designs from the tibetan silver charms that I bought. 

The first necklace I made is in pink, black and clear beads.  I used the last of my pink flower beads and finished it off with the cute musician charms and a rose.

I saw the large 10mm sized glass beads with the flowers on them and put it in my shopping basket with no hesitation.  I took some of the color in the beads and accented it with the light purple faux pearl beading.

I love using recycled items whenever possible in my jewelry and other crafty items I make, this one I used a upcycled bottle cap with a glued on glass pendant in a cute hot pink color/design.  Made the beads to match in a hot pink and turquoise strand ended with a silver plated chain.

I love owls.  One of my favorite decors in anything for my house or in other crafty items I make.   This set is a full beaded necklace in yellow and brown beads.  Matching earrings beaded on a silver tone earring hanger.  The owl setting is glass glued onto a silver plated setting of 25mm size.  Very cute set.

Ori-Janel Creations at Kids Fashion Show Event

Ori-Janel Creations had the honor of being in a fashion show this past weekend in San Diego, CA.  Our jewelry was the only thing we brought with us this, since it was involved in the fashion show itself.  The Designs By Teagann in the fashion show wore Ori-Janel Jewelry!  Teagann's designs were amazing and inspiring.  Jewelry to match along with additional jewelry gifted at the end as well.  Ori-Janel was the only vendor at this honorary show and got to set up our additional jewelry for sale as well.  So much jewelry involved and can be bought in our Etsy shop at:

Newest Jewelry Sets in Shop

I'm still fairly new to extended jewelry making that gets more involved than I have in the past.  Recently made these sets and one of them has chain beading that turned out really nicely.  Always learning new techniques and lately I love to add chain to beadwork chains as well.  Very fashionable and alluring to my eye.  Hope it is to yours as well.

Thrifty Bead Storage Idea

So I went to the dollar store recently and saw a 7 day pill holder, and right away it reminded me of the bead holders I have for my jewelry making.  I bought the 7 day color pill holder (color picture below) and put my beads in it just as the ones you can buy in the craft stores.  (below)

Just an idea I had since I got to the dollar store all the time, and it worked just as well.

Ori-Janel Creations to be in Fashion Show

Ori-Janel Creations will have the honor of being in a kids fashion show coming up.  We will have a booth set out for selling our jewelry creations along with the models wearing the jewelry in the show.

Newest Jewelry Creations

I love making jewelry and feel I need to stay diverse in what I make, since the sky is the limit on choices in making your own jewelry.  I work with what I have and am still learning to continuously make different designs using various supplies.  Recently I have made the following jewelry that will be included in an upcoming kids fashion show in San Diego, CA. (what is not sold by the event, all jewelry is available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

I bought some plastic fruit charms, that I absolutely adore, and made a whole set that includes earrings, bracelet and necklace.

Faith, Hope and Love are something we should all have and remember to get us through our days.  I made a set of each in gold and silver tone, with matching earrings.

I love lockets too and these I made 2 silver ones.  Silver plated chain and locket to add your own photos into.

Tall Barbie Candles Inpiration Setting

My sister is so good at decorating and making beautiful settings that she takes photos of and posts on her pages.  This one happen to include one of my Barbie Inspired candles that she had picked out for her Christmas present.  I just love how she set it up and how the colors and picture on the candle add up for just the prefect setting.

These are my latest handmade creations I have done with candle holders.  Glass votive sized candle holders that come in a set of 2 or 4.  I used these prints and glued them onto the glass for a really cute reusable candle that gives off a lot of light and lights up the picture in the dark.

Newest Monster Candle Creations

I love these easy and new candles I've been making with pictures of things I've gotten on cardstock and have wrapped them in laminate to protect the photo from any type of exposure.  The candles are 8 inch tall and 2.25 inches round.  Your typical tall candle you can find everywhere.  These candles burn forever.  I made these 3 monster candles most recently and am in love with them.

I also had another request for a candle that didn't already have wax in it so that it could be used over and over again and not have an issue with a candle.  I came up with these for a custom order and seems to work great so far for myself.  I lit them up and took pictures of them and wish you could see how amazing they light up in the dark.  The pictures don't seem to do it justice.

Recent Photo Shoot with Ori-Janel Items

Sunday I did a photo shoot with Gg Nickel Images at Old Poway Park and decided it'd be a perfect time to get in some of my handmade items that matched the theme I was looking for.  A while back I made myself a leopard print cigar box purse of my own to keep, with a rare very large cigar box that I just had to keep. 

 

 Also a new item I made is the large, red hair flower that looked perfect in the photos and brought in a little more color to the scene.
